At Himegasaki Academy, which they both attend, there is an event called the [Himegasaki Academy General Election]. This event is a popularity poll for female students, and the top six are granted the title of Hime (Princess).

Ayane, who narrowly missed out on the title of Hime, forced Yuma to 'capture' the Himes. Her reasoning was that if a Hime got a boyfriend, her popularity would decline, allowing Ayane to become a Hime in the next election.
