（A complete short story）
I'm a second-year high school student named Hanamiya Makoto. One day, my parents remarried, and I gained a stepsister. But she's incredibly standoffish toward me... I wonder if she dislikes me?
One day, while discussing this with a beautiful senior at school — who's nicknamed "the married woman" — I unexpectedly run into my stepsister.
Believing her coldness stemmed from not wanting to be seen as a romantic interest, I jokingly blurted out, "I'm dating this person." For some reason, my stepsister's eyes welled up with tears, and she mumbled, "It's already too late...," before running away. Hold on, wait! We haven't even properly talked yet, have we? It's not too late, is it?!
This is a story of a brother and stepsister who, on the verge of a misunderstanding, talk things through and reconcile.
