Alex, having lost his job, returned to the royal capital in despair, where he chanced upon an old man who offered him a shop to inherit, which he accepted.

Alex and Sandra decided to start a shop selling, renting, and maintaining Materia.

Meanwhile, the Hero's party, having handled Materia carelessly without even performing maintenance, found their Materia breaking one after another, leading to a dire predicament. Unable to exert their full power, the Hero's party eventually fell.

Alex, on the other hand, attracted an increasing number of elite clients, such as the Knights and S-rank adventurers, thanks to the Materia's immense effectiveness, meticulous aftercare, and sincere service. He and Sandra sometimes ventured out to gather materials or even traveled on business to the village of an elf girl they happened to save, leading a fulfilling life.

Before long, a rumor began to spread throughout the royal capital:

"There's a boy who sells Materia imbued with incredible power."
