While it's a story where the protagonist rises to power through misunderstandings, what sets it apart is that the protagonist himself is aware of these misunderstandings and even exploits them, finding them "convenient." I've also tried to pack it full of the kind of energy and pacing that will appeal to fans of shonen manga.

【Overview】

This is a story about a protagonist who reincarnates into and possesses the body of the Season 1 final boss from an anime – the leader of a small but elite, militant villain organization – and strives to survive even after Season 2, when power levels begin to inflate. Incidentally, in his efforts to act like a fitting final boss and prevent his true identity as a fake from being exposed, he inadvertently gives rise to fanatical followers.

【Synopsis】

Waking up to find himself inside a castle, the protagonist is bewildered by the unfamiliar surroundings. He soon realizes that he is in the world of his favorite anime, and has even become "Zill," the Season 1 final boss.

Zill's ultimate fate is to die as a stepping stone for the Season 2 final boss. If the anime's story progresses as normal, Zill will be ignominiously killed.

To avoid such a grim end, and to escape his destiny as a petty villain, he resolves to shatter the original plot.

"My goal is to rule over this world (so I don't die as a stepping stone)!"

However, due to his poorly chosen words, an incredible misunderstanding ensues.

"This entire world belongs to our lord—Lord Zill!"
