Ernesta was born the daughter of the Emperor and Empress, but was abandoned due to a custom that shunned twins. One day, an envoy from the Emperor arrives at the home of Ernesta, who grew up among commoners.

"You are to marry Ivan, the Werewolf King, who is considered a barbarian, in place of your elder sister who ran away."

Though she initially refuses the selfish imperial decree, she accepts on the condition that her foster mother's illness be cured.

However, when she marries him, trembling with fear, her incredibly handsome husband doesn't do anything particularly frightening, and the surrounding werewolves are all good people.

Her cheerfulness and resilience, cultivated from growing up among commoners, prove useful, and she gradually breaks down the initial barriers with them.

She eventually becomes a queen revered by those around her, but Ernesta, being a substitute, fully understands her position.

This is a temporary position that will end once her twin sister is brought back, so she has no intention of indulging in their kindness.

Yet, somehow, she feels her distance with His Majesty the Werewolf King has grown shorter lately...?
