A young lady, Avril, ostracized by her family as 'incompetent,' is sent to marry the 'lecherous old Duke' as a 'villainess' in place of her stepsister.

Upon her arrival, she discovers her husband is a beautiful young man, completely unlike the rumors. Naturally, however, those around her, convinced she is a villainess, treat her poorly. But Avril, accustomed to abuse and naturally easygoing, remains completely undeterred. Embracing her role as a 'villainess (by her own standards),' she unwittingly uses her natural obliviousness and abilities to win over those around her.

Meanwhile, the Duke quickly and easily sees through Avril, realizing she is neither incompetent nor a villainess.

"Avril, who called you an incompetent villainess? I won't forgive them." "...Uh, well...?"

This is the story of a heroine, unloved by her family, who gradually finds herself cherished and happy in a new land.
