A hundred years ago, monsters suddenly appeared and began attacking humans. At the time, conventional weapons couldn't even scratch the monsters' hardened bodies, and humanity's numbers rapidly dwindled, forcing them to consolidate into seven nations in a desperate bid for survival. While the military application of magic successfully halted the invasion, the fight for the species' very existence against these monstrous creatures still rages. Ars Reggin, who had constantly risked his life on the front lines, requested retirement at the young age of 16 after completing his military service. However, the nation couldn't possibly let him leave. After all, Ars is a 【Single Magician】, a one-digit rank at the very peak of over 100,000 mages.
