A certain game-loving, middle-aged salaryman gets into an accident.

In doing so, he saves a woman and a child.

As his consciousness faded to black, he thought, "This is it, I'm going to die..."

When he regains consciousness, he finds himself in a white space, where he meets a beautiful goddess.

He's more than a little flustered by what appears to be the afterlife...

However, the goddess he encountered offers him a conditional transfer, and he decides to be transported to another world.

The world he arrives in turns out to be remarkably similar to "Ultra Online," a net game he'd played as a hobby for many years.

Medieval European-style streets, bustling with people... Yes, he's finally arrived in the world he always dreamed of!

And so, the otherworldly tale of the rejuvenated Hephaestus (still a middle-aged man on the inside) — who was a legendary blacksmith in the game — now... begins!
