Description
Yugriel, a world where spirits are commonplace.
In this world, there existed a profession known as "Spirit Masters," who battled demons and evil spirits by forming contracts with spirits and drawing on their power.
Roark Aleas, a second-year student at Yutrea Academy, a Spirit Master training school, is highly anticipated for his future as a Spirit Master. However, he harbored a peculiar secret.
An indispensable element for Spirit Masters is the presence of a Contract Spirit, a partner linked through the Ritual of Contract. While many Spirit Masters deepen their bonds with their Contract Spirits and hone their skills, for some reason, Roark alone never summoned his own Contract Spirit.
Yet, despite never summoning his Contract Spirit, Roark's undeniable skill in defeating numerous Spirit Masters led to a flurry of speculation within the academy.
Some said his Contract Spirit was too powerful, and summoning it would cause collateral damage, rendering it impossible to call forth.
Others claimed he was currently searching for an opponent worthy of a serious fight, merely biding his time to summon his Contract Spirit.
Still others whispered that if he were to summon his Contract Spirit, he might even be able to defeat the academy's strongest princess.
Before long, Roark became known as "The Man Who Hides His True Power," yet he himself vehemently denied any such thing.
What, then, is the truth?
