The story begins with Shiina, a weary office worker from modern Japan, accidentally caught in an interdimensional summoning ritual. Intending to summon a Saintess, the ritual instead brings both a young, conventionally beautiful girl (the true Saintess, possessing powerful skills like Holy Magic and Infinite Mana) and Shiina, who merely possesses the enigmatic "Kitchen Summon" skill. Deemed unnecessary, Shiina is relegated to a small room in the Lidiata Kingdom's palace, while the Saintess is revered for her ability to combat the powerful magic beasts from the Northern Forest that threaten the prosperous "Kingdom of Flowers." Initially despondent about being unable to return home, Shiina quickly resolves to make the best of her new life.
She soon discovers her "Kitchen Summon" skill teleports her to a small, familiar mini-kitchen from her past. Though initially disappointed by its basic state, she finds a touch panel revealing "Kitchen Points" that can be used to acquire ingredients, equipment, and expand the kitchen. This discovery ignites a new goal: to build her dream kitchen. She uses her initial points to make bacon and eggs, a dish she craved before her summoning. She learns that the kitchen automatically cleans itself, and cooking earns more points, providing a sustainable path to her goal.
Shiina's assigned guard, Wolvy Hast, a stoic and imposing knight (nicknamed "Handsome Polar Bear" by Shiina), witnesses her teleportation. He advises her to keep her unique skill secret, fearing the kingdom might exploit its unknown potential. Wolvy, who was originally the captain of the Saintess's special task force but voluntarily stepped down to protect Shiina, expresses deep concern for her well-being, apologizing for her predicament and finding joy in her smiles.
To test his theory and introduce Shiina to the palace guards, Wolvy takes her to the training grounds. There, they are confronted by arrogant palace knights who mock Wolvy's "Northern Dog" origins (referencing his past with the specialized Northern Knights who fight magic beasts) and Shiina's perceived status as an "exiled noblewoman." After eating Shiina's bacon and eggs, Wolvy experiences a dramatic surge in physical power. He effortlessly defeats ten armed knights with a wooden stick, even "cutting" a sword in half, demonstrating the profound strengthening effect of Shiina's cooking.
Wolvy confirms that Shiina's food possesses a mysterious power to enhance abilities, reiterating the need for secrecy to prevent her exploitation. He also reveals the palace rumor that Shiina is an exiled noblewoman, explaining the knights' hostility, and vows to dispel it. Shiina, now aware of her unique abilities and precarious social standing, decides to keep both her skill and its effects hidden, prioritizing her personal goal of building her dream kitchen over being used by the kingdom. Their relationship solidifies, with Wolvy pledging his unwavering loyalty and protection to Shiina.
