Chapters 3 through 12 of the light novel detail the immediate aftermath of the Demon Lord's defeat and the subsequent shift in global dynamics, focusing on the protagonist, Horas, and the heroine, Langea.
The narrative begins with Horas, a seemingly ordinary young man with black hair and eyes, being summarily dismissed from his position at the Diamante Kingdom's royal palace. He was among approximately five hundred commoners hired during the "emergency period" caused by the Demon Lord, a time when global regulations were relaxed to allow for broader employment. Duke Zaithe Rugisok, the head of a ducal family, declares their dismissal, citing the end of the emergency and his belief in aristocratic superiority. However, Horas, revealed to be a master Golem Master, subtly uses his "Item Box" skill to transform the dismissed commoners into iron golems and then stores them, along with their belongings, before departing the kingdom. His immediate goal is to travel to the "Kaoston Ryuseki Kingdom," a place known for its unique stones, to gather materials for his golems.
Meanwhile, King Balzeil Diamante of the Diamante Kingdom, a powerful nation, prepares to attend an emergency World Conference. He discusses with Duke Zaithe the potential acquisition of a teleportation magic item, highlighting the kingdom's ambition and their desire to consolidate power.
The World Conference convenes, and the atmosphere shifts dramatically with the entrance of Langea, a seventeen-year-old girl of extraordinary beauty and presence. She is the leader of the "Luster Report," a group that has now earned the title of "Hero Community." During the conference, King Balzeil offers Langea any reward for her role in defeating the Demon Lord. Langea's request is surprising: she asks for the "Multinational Polygamy Privilege" for her master, Horas. She reveals Horas to be a commoner and the world's greatest Golem Master, who was recently employed at the Diamante Kingdom's palace. This revelation causes Duke Zaithe to visibly panic, as he had just fired all the commoners, including Horas. Langea confronts Zaithe, deducing his actions and explaining that Horas had been creating "human-like golems" to compensate for the kingdom's staffing shortages, a fact that the Diamante Kingdom, unlike others, failed to recognize as a valuable asset.
Langea then amends her request: instead of polygamy, she asks for Horas and the Luster Report members to be granted citizenship in the Kaoston Ryuseki Kingdom and residency in its capital, "Treasure Capital Lapis," to access its rare mineral resources. This is accepted, much to the chagrin of King Balzeil, who had envisioned controlling the Luster Report through other means. Langea also subtly threatens the assembled rulers, implying severe consequences if anything were to happen to Princess Lyucia, who facilitated the request.
The narrative then shifts to the consequences of Zaithe's actions. King Balzeil discovers that Zaithe had not only fired Horas but also mismanaged the kingdom's finances, having squandered the funds meant for the palace staff and their operations, mistaking Horas's self-sufficiency for them earning money elsewhere. Zaithe is arrested and stripped of his title and assets.
Horas arrives in Treasure Capital Lapis and is joyfully reunited with Langea and another Luster Report member, Tearis, a buxom maid. They have secured a large mansion for the Luster Report, and Horas is provided with a well-equipped workshop. He begins preparing for his research, while Langea eagerly anticipates training with him.
A conflict arises when Guodol Eemode, the eldest son of a Count from the Diamante Kingdom and wielder of a holy sword, confronts Horas, disbelieving that such a seemingly weak man could train the Hero. Horas easily incapacitates Guodol with a mere glare, demonstrating his immense power. Later, during a sparring session between Horas and Langea in a dungeon's former boss room, Guodol interrupts again, demanding that Horas cancel the Luster Report's substantial debt to the Eemode family. Horas, though unaware of the debt, reiterates that the money was earned through hard work and that canceling it would invalidate their efforts. He then incapacitates Guodol with a single, powerful punch, emphasizing that those who challenge him without sufficient power are foolish.
The story reveals the Luster Report's financial acumen: they have strategically lent vast sums of money, including to the Eemode family and even the Shinachika Church, to control and influence others. Guodol's father, Count Gardol, is furious as their family is deeply indebted to the Luster Report, their annual budget being a fraction of their debt.
Meanwhile, King Balzeil of the Diamante Kingdom is overwhelmed by the influx of demands and complaints following Horas's departure, as the kingdom's infrastructure and administrative processes, heavily reliant on Horas's Golem Master abilities, are collapsing. He is forced to make difficult decisions, including paying off the Eemode family's debt to the Luster Report to avoid further repercussions, highlighting the kingdom's dire state.
