Chapters 3-12 detail the protagonist Yuto's sudden and dramatic shift from being a perpetually level-1, E-rank adventurer to a rapidly ascending force. The narrative begins with Yuto experiencing a vivid death in a dungeon, facing a powerful Mithril Golem alongside a companion. This near-death experience, however, proves to be a catalyst. Upon waking, Yuto discovers a translucent "Skill Board" has appeared, granting him an EX Quest and unlocking a new system.
Initially, Yuto is bewildered by the Skill Board, which displays his status, skill points, and quests. He learns that completing daily training quests, like push-ups and running, awards him skill points and experience, leading to his first level-up from 1 to 2. This breakthrough is met with overwhelming emotion, as Yuto has spent ten years unable to gain a single level. He dedicates himself to the quests, quickly progressing through daily and standard challenges. Within a single day, he reaches level 5, experiencing a significant increase in his physical capabilities. He also discovers that completing quests is his unique path to growth, as defeating monsters had never yielded him experience.
Yuto's rapid progress doesn't go unnoticed. Other adventurers observe his newfound speed and vigor, though they attribute it to sheer determination. Meanwhile, Marie, a shopkeeper who has known Yuto for years and was inspired by his relentless effort despite his lack of progress, expresses concern about his future, suggesting he quit adventuring. Yuto, however, reassures her he's still capable.
His journey continues as he tackles a chain quest requiring him to defeat 500 goblins. This endeavor, completed in a single day, pushes him to level 7 and grants him his first actual skills: Strength and Swordsmanship, both at level 2. He experiences the tangible benefits of these skills, noting how much easier combat has become. He then acquires a "Magic Scroll" and, upon using it to defeat 100 Kill Rabbits, gains the ability to use magic, unlocking the Magic and Lightning skills. This marks a significant turning point, as Yuto, previously deemed magically inept, can now wield powerful spells.
Further quests lead him to level 10, granting him the "Inventory" function, which allows him to store items in a separate space, and a "Level 10 Completion Bonus Bag" containing 10,000 Gald. He uses this money to purchase 100 low-level magic scrolls, which he uses to quickly clear another quest, reaching level 11 and unlocking the "Mana" skill. His rapid progression continues, and he gains the "Agility" and "Presence Detection" skills, significantly enhancing his combat prowess and awareness.
Yuto's relentless training and questing lead to a 24-hour monster-slaying marathon, resulting in a massive influx of Gald and the "Stamina" skill. He also receives an E-rank instance dungeon key, presenting him with a choice between selling it or attempting the dungeon himself. The chapters conclude with Yuto, now significantly stronger and more capable, contemplating his next move, his past struggles replaced by a burgeoning sense of hope and power. The world-building elements include the adventurer ranking system (E to S), different types of dungeons (base and instance), monster drops (magic stones, materials), and the concept of skills and magic.
