The story begins with the protagonist, a Japanese man, abruptly finding himself in a divine realm. There, the whimsical and immensely powerful Time-Space God informs him he's been chosen for reincarnation into another world. Despite his male identity, he's given a female body, named Karina, due to the God's "hobby" and convenience for power transfer. His mission: defeat a "self-proclaimed Chaos God" who has offended the Time-Space God by using a forbidden name and impersonating her "lover."
The Time-Space God, using Karina's body, demonstrates the devastating "space magic" she's granted, brutally torturing and disassembling the old man claiming to be the Chaos God over seven days (though only a minute for Karina). This "tutorial" serves as both a lesson for Karina and a cathartic act of revenge for the God. With the Chaos God defeated and his "Alchemy Kingdom" utterly ruined by the divine rampage, Karina is left with immense power but no money or clear purpose. She decides to pursue a "slow life" as a merchant, adopting the name Karina Shoh-nin, and uses her "basic knowledge" to navigate the new world.
Her first challenge arises when trying to enter Solasidore, a walled city in the neighboring Pavelcant Kingdom, without identification. A desperate prayer to the Time-Space God results in a time-stopping intervention and a "universal fake ID" (a hypnotizing 5-yen coin) in exchange for future offerings of "beautiful women's socks." Inside the city, Karina attempts to join the Merchant Guild but lacks funds, leading her to the Adventurer Guild. She registers as a G-rank adventurer, where she meets Blade, a seemingly lecherous but ultimately kind-hearted C-rank adventurer who gives her a small sum of money. Karina, despite her ability to replicate currency, decides against it to maintain economic stability and a sense of challenge, vowing to only replicate self-made or personal items.
Seeking information, Karina engages Blade and his party (Sildon and Sekko), learning valuable insights into adventuring. A night of heavy drinking leads to Karina waking up naked in Shunrai-tei, an establishment owned by the beautiful fox-eared beast-woman Harumikazuchi. Karina discovers she had a sexual encounter with Harumikazuchi while drunk, which, despite her initial shock and forgotten memories, she celebrates as her "first time." Harumikazuchi, a shrewd businesswoman, takes Blade's sword as collateral for Karina's "debt," effectively forcing Blade to mentor Karina. Their first task is a slime hunt, where Karina efficiently uses her space magic (disguised as wind magic) to extract valuable slime cores. Karina's journey has quickly transformed from a confused male protagonist to a powerful, if somewhat chaotic, female adventurer, navigating a new world with divine powers, unexpected relationships, and a growing sense of agency.
