When she was 10, Duke's daughter Dia lost her beloved mother, and for the next five years, she lived with her cold father and brother. She desperately wanted to escape this house, but her fiancé, Prince Arnold, was a scoundrel who was notoriously loose with women. After spending a miserable year as a fiancé in name only, on the day of her wedding, Dia was deliberately tripped by the prince's mistress, tumbled down a staircase, and died at the young age of 16.
Thinking, "What a terrible life I had," Dia awoke to find that the gods had granted her "memories of her previous life" and the ability to "hear the true thoughts of those who harbor affection for her." She was then given a chance to restart her life from the age of 14.
Dia's only wish was to "thoroughly deliver retribution to Arnold!" However, this is a story where she ends up being doted on by many different people. (Note: The retribution isn't aimed at Arnold, but rather appears at the end as a peaceful solution between humans and gods.)
