The middle-aged holy knight has unknowingly mastered the art of war.

Knight Elias, now forty years old and in his middle age, had been fighting monsters—humanity's greatest threat—for over twenty years. His sole reason for remaining on the front lines was to master combat; he sought neither wealth nor fame. Yet, due to his continuous service in battle against these creatures, he was to be awarded the prestigious title of Holy Knight.

The conferment upon Elias, a commoner from a rural village, was highly unusual, and he anticipated envy from the nobility. True to his prediction, an official order was issued, instructing him to transfer not to the monster-infested front lines, but to a fort located far behind them. This was clearly a measure by the nobles to prevent him from achieving any further merits.

Elias, however, approached this with an optimistic mindset, deciding that things would somehow work out and heading to his new post. Yet, upon arrival, he soon found himself embroiled in various incidents, and gradually, his true abilities, previously unknown to many, began to be recognized by the world.
