Yakagi Suimei is a magician living in the modern age. Following in the footsteps of his father, also a magician, he is a genuine mystic scholar who secretly pursues truth while attending high school. He's a somewhat peculiar ordinary person who sometimes secludes himself in his room to dedicate himself to research, and other times uses magic to nullify strange phenomena that appear in the wild.

Then, one day on their way home from school, as he walked with his close friends, a magic circle appeared before them.

"Teleportation magic!" Suimei thought, but it was already too late. The three of them, including Suimei, were helplessly dragged into the magic circle and transported to another world.

...This is the story of a protagonist who gets caught up in another world due to his friend's hero summoning. He refuses to defeat the Demon King, stating that the demon army is "too numerous," and parts ways with the hero. He then tries to adapt to life in the other world, performs unaccustomed acts of kindness, and despite everything, ultimately ends up single-handedly dominating everyone.
