Appraiser Io's work is to perform appraisals using his inherent appraisal magic.

His fields of activity are diverse, ranging from appraising monsters brought into the adventurer's guild he belongs to, to investigating the aptitudes of young aspiring adventurers.

Even today, surrounded by the intimidating-looking Guild Master who speaks in feminine language and his fellow dismantler who likes to emphasize his physique, he leads a busy life, appraising items brought in, dealing with adventurers, and sometimes even delving into dungeons.

He muses, in the back of his mind, that someday a major assignment will bring him both joy and sorrow──

This is a slice-of-life story depicting a period in the life of such an ordinary appraiser.
