Though numbering only about a hundred, the Fire Dragon Mage Brigade was said to rival an army of a hundred thousand, continuously repelling invasions from neighboring countries and protecting the Kingdom of Sanchest.

Due to his achievements, Allen, a half-elf with half elven blood—a lineage normally despised—enjoyed immense popularity. So much so that many bards could be found in taverns nightly, singing tales of his heroism.

He was even hailed as a hero by the people of the Kingdom of Sanchest. ……However.

“Traitor to the nation!”

One day, Allen was subjected to baseless accusations and exiled from the Kingdom of Sanchest.

It was a conspiracy by those envious of Allen’s achievements and those who discriminated against half-elves.

Though still harboring lingering feelings for his country, the exiled Allen decided to retire.

He resolved to spend the rest of his life watching over and nurturing the children who would lead the next generation.

In contrast, having lost Allen, the Kingdom of Sanchest could no longer halt invasions from other countries and faced the brink of ruin.

Having fallen into crisis, the kingdom, shamelessly, began a search to cling to Allen once more. Neighboring countries, too, started searching for Allen, each with their own objectives…

Though he himself is unaware, Allen, afflicted by “Heroic Syndrome,” finds trouble constantly circling back to him even in retirement…

He finds himself unexpectedly busy: becoming an adventurer, dominating battlefields, or clashing with those secretly operating in the shadows.
