A 42-year-old man who is also the village hero, Graham Ward.

Born in Huro Village, a remote settlement in the Kingdom of Gurzalm, he has lived his entire life there, never once leaving its borders.

While it would have been ideal to live in peace, Huro Village boasts the worst location in history, situated right next to the Demon Lord's territory.

The monsters pouring out from the Demon Lord's territory are staggering in number, and what's more, the Demon Lord's army invariably passes through this village whenever they march to attack the kingdom.

Though Graham held no desire to protect the kingdom, he fought the Demon Lord's army countless times to defend his village. He performed a feat that would bestow the title of "Hero" for even a single success, having thwarted the Demon Lord's army's advance five times.

However, the Kingdom of Gurzalm is completely unaware of Huro Village, which doesn't even appear on their maps, and thus remains ignorant of the existence of this unsung hero.

Graham was destined to die quietly in Huro Village, his deeds unknown to the world, but he lost an arm while halting the Demon Lord's army's fifth advance.

Even heroes in this village are compelled to farm, and Graham, realizing that with only one arm he could no longer work as he once did and would become a burden, made the decision to leave the village at the age of 42.
