The story begins with the final moments of King Inglis, the legendary founder of the vast Silver Kingdom. Having been blessed by the goddess Alistia in his youth, he became a Divine Knight, wielding divine power to defeat monsters and evil gods, and establish a prosperous kingdom that lasted for a thousand years. As he lies on his deathbed, his loyal retainers are filled with anxiety about the future of the kingdom without him. Inglis, however, is at peace, having lived a life dedicated to his people.
Alistia appears to Inglis, unseen by his retainers, and offers him a wish in reward for his service. Inglis, a warrior at heart, wishes for a second chance at life, not as a king, but as a warrior who dedicates his life solely to mastering his martial skills. He also expresses a desire to see how his kingdom fares in the distant future. Alistia grants his wish, and Inglis passes away peacefully, gazing upon his beloved kingdom.
Inglis is reborn as an infant in a future era, retaining his memories and divine power. To his surprise, he is born female and named Chris. He is adopted by the Yukes family, with his father, Luke, being the captain of the local lord's knight order, and his mother, Selena, a former knight. Despite the inconvenience of an infant's body, Chris immediately begins training his divine power, Ether, which he can manipulate even in this state.
His training is interrupted by an attack from "Magic Stone Beasts," monstrous creatures that did not exist in his previous life. During the chaos, Chris's ability to levitate is accidentally revealed to his mother. They flee to the castle, where Chris reunites with his aunt, Irina, the wife of Marquis Bilford, the lord of the city.
Inside the castle, Chris witnesses a battle between the knights and Magic Stone Beasts. He observes that these beasts are a new threat, and their existence is tied to "Prism Flow," a rainbow-colored rain. He also notices that his cousin, Raphael, a young boy with a special "Grade-S" magic seal, is destined to be a hero.
During a subsequent training session between the knights and an armed merchant group, Chris witnesses Raphael's exceptional swordsmanship. He also observes that the merchant's son, Raal, is using magic to gain an unfair advantage, a fact that the knights, including Raphael, are oblivious to due to their lack of knowledge about magic. Chris, having established his own Ether manipulation techniques, intervenes and defeats Raal in a sparring match, demonstrating a level of skill far beyond anyone present. He also subtly advises Raphael to be wary of unseen threats.
Five years later, Chris, now six years old, is a remarkably beautiful young girl with silver hair and red eyes. He continues his training, eager to face stronger Magic Stone Beasts. He learns that the upcoming day is for receiving magic seals, which are essential for wielding magic-imbued weapons against the beasts. Chris, as a Divine Knight, does not need a magic seal, but his mother expresses a wish that he doesn't receive a high-grade one, fearing it will bind him to a life of service to others, similar to Raphael's destiny. Chris agrees, wanting to pursue his own path of martial mastery.
During a sparring match between Raphael and Raal, Raal again uses magic. Raphael, despite Chris's earlier advice, is outmaneuvered and defeated. Chris, seeing his cousin and his sister, Rafinia, upset, decides to challenge Raal himself. He uses his swordsmanship, deliberately avoiding his Ether abilities to test his pure skill. He defeats Raal by skillfully evading his attacks and outmaneuvering him, impressing his father and Raphael with his incredible technique. Chris realizes that while he has achieved a high level of swordsmanship, his true goal is to surpass even the gods.
