The narrative picks up with Masaru, a former Japanese convenience store clerk transported to the fantasy world of Alsteitia, grappling with the aftermath of an impulsive marriage proposal to the chief goddess, Victinius. This proposal, born from a desire for her to stay with him, has left both of them flustered and blushing, their awkwardness interrupted by the discovery of their location by Winteria's residents. Masaru is surprised by his own actions, as he usually plans meticulously before acting.
Aila, Victinius's sister and a fellow goddess, attempts to discuss the situation with Masaru, noting Victinius's agitated state. Masaru, realizing he cannot confide in Aila without further complicating matters with Victinius, asks her to speak with her sister. Aila agrees, acknowledging the gravity of the situation for Alsteitia as a whole. After Masaru explains his impulsive proposal, Aila expresses concern over his uncharacteristic recklessness in matters of the heart, contrasting it with his usual strategic approach. She resolves to speak with Victinius, but acknowledges that a resolution will depend on Victinius calming down.
The next morning, Masaru finds himself preparing breakfast with Victinius and Fina, a former evil god now a mother goddess. Their casual conversation highlights their shared awkwardness and lack of romantic experience. Aila arrives, bewildered by their seemingly normal interaction, and learns that Victinius came to Masaru without a clear reason, further emphasizing their mutual romantic ineptitude. Despite the awkwardness, their continued interaction suggests a developing relationship.
A month later, Victinius has been frequently visiting the surface. Meanwhile, May and Lyly, two young women who look up to Masaru, are being nudged by May's mother, Lulu, to confess their feelings for him. Lulu points out that their unspoken affections are obvious to everyone, and that Masaru's heroic status and divine connection make them feel inadequate. Mikoto, a young man, arrives to have his armor inspected, but is instead drawn into Lulu's lecture on marriage and male responsibility. Masaru's timely arrival interrupts the lecture, and Mikoto and the other young men present are saved from further scolding.
A city development meeting is held for Winteria and the port town of Natori. Proposals include improving warehouses, building a new chapel, and developing Natori into a more iconic town. Masaru impulsively offers to build a bridge and a monument, demonstrating his characteristic disregard for conventional planning and his immense building capabilities. He later single-handedly constructs a massive arch bridge, far exceeding the initial request for a watchtower, showcasing his extraordinary construction skills and his tendency to get carried away with his projects.
Upon arriving in Natori, Masaru is met by Fina, who expresses mild exasperation at his latest construction feat. Masaru, still driven by his feelings for Victinius, begins building a lighthouse, again with excessive enthusiasm and a lack of self-restraint. He enlists May and Lyly to help create a specialized lens for the lighthouse, a task that requires extensive polishing.
While May and Lyly are occupied with the lighthouse lens, Masaru constructs several large warehouses in Natori, far more than needed for the current population. This overbuilding leads to him being placed on a forced "vacation" or "house arrest" by the town's adults. Bored, Masaru decides to work on the town monument. He discusses potential subjects with Aila, eventually settling on creating statues of May and Lyly, much to their initial dismay. He then proceeds to create two massive adamantium statues of them, which they ultimately choose to place in Natori, leaving the statues of Adelina and Zarg for the capital.
