## Chapters 3-12: The Witch's Rebirth and the Whispers of Chaos
The narrative begins with the dramatic confrontation between the "Witch of Wisdom," Shatifall, and the Hero. Shatifall, mortally wounded, questions the justification for the persecution of witches, arguing that their power, though unknown, is not inherently evil. The Hero, initially confident in his role as humanity's protector, falters under her questioning, particularly when she points out the potential for people to fear him once all witches are gone. Shatifall's dying wish is for the graves of her fallen kin to be marked, and she succumbs, leaving the Hero deeply shaken by doubt. He is hailed as a hero for eradicating the witches, but soon after, he mysteriously disappears, fueling rumors and marking the end of his violent crusade.
Five years later, the world has found a semblance of peace. In a secluded mountain village, a peculiar young girl named Shatia lives with her mother. Shatia, with her silver hair and sharp gaze, possesses a mature demeanor and an unusual way of speaking, which her mother often admonishes. Unbeknownst to her mother, Shatia is the reincarnation of Shatifall, who, before her death, activated a forbidden reincarnation magic. She retained her memories, magic, and knowledge, reborn into a young human girl. Shatia recently regained her memories and is now eager to explore the world and its magic through her new, pure body. She begins practicing magic, finding she can still wield her former abilities, and expresses a desire to learn human magic, which differs fundamentally from witch magic.
To this end, Shatia requests a tutor, and her mother hires a former court magician who now lives in their village. This young, somewhat disheveled man is astonished by Shatia's prodigious talent, as she masters royal magic in a single day. Shatia, driven by her insatiable curiosity, learns that there are various types of magic beyond royal magic, including common and ancient magic. Her thirst for knowledge is immense, and she vows to learn them all.
Shatia's childhood friend, Mofy, a cheerful and energetic girl, often interrupts Shatia's studies. During one outing, Mofy leads them to a forbidden forest, rumored to be inhabited by monsters. Inside, they encounter a "Grim Bear," a monster Shatia recognizes from her past life. She easily subdues it with a powerful gravity magic, much to Mofy's unawareness, as Shatia explains Mofy merely got tired and fell asleep.
Later, while reading a book about the "Seven Witches," Mofy expresses fear of the "Witch of Wisdom." Shatia dismisses it, but a sense of unease lingers. The village is suddenly thrown into a commotion by the arrival of an injured knight, who speaks of danger in the northern valley and mentions a man named Barbasa. Shatia, intrigued by the mention of the northern valley and sensing something amiss, decides to investigate, using her flight magic to reach the valley quickly.
Upon arrival, Shatia notices a depletion of magic in the area. She is then attacked by a "Sorcerer Skeleton," a powerful undead creature. She easily defends herself and deduces that a human is controlling the skeletons. Her confrontation escalates when a "Lord Skeleton" appears, leading a horde of Sorcerer Skeletons. Shatia defeats them, including the Lord Skeleton, and learns that Barbasa, a former magician turned villain, is behind the attacks and is attempting to revive the witches.
Shatia confronts Barbasa in a cave, where he reveals his plan to resurrect the witches to create a dark world. He intends to revive Shatifall first, unaware that Shatia *is* Shatifall. Barbasa's ritual goes awry, summoning a powerful "evil spirit" instead of Shatifall. Shatia battles the spirit, which absorbs magic and grows stronger. She eventually defeats it using her forbidden "Sleep Song" magic, which drains all magic from a target. Barbasa, witnessing this, is terrified and impressed. Shatia, to cover her tracks and protect the village, incapacitates Barbasa and creates a fabricated story of the ritual's failure and his subsequent injury.
Meanwhile, the "Witch of Purity," Emerald, who was betrayed by humans and forced to use forbidden reincarnation magic to inhabit a doll's body, has become corrupted by her hatred. She encounters a boy whose father's keepsake was stolen by bandits and, in a fit of rage, unleashes her power, freezing the bandits. She then encounters Shatia, who recognizes her but is horrified by Emerald's twisted state and her desire for revenge. Emerald, now a grotesque figure, attacks Shatia, who is forced to defend herself and Mofy, whom Emerald had captured. Shatia, saddened by Emerald's fall, is forced to fight her former friend.
The narrative also introduces the wise man Vezar, who senses the growing chaos and foretells a future war. He encounters Shatia and is intrigued by her immense power and ancient demeanor, suspecting she is more than she appears. He also reveals a prophecy about the Seven Witches gathering again.
The story concludes with the emergence of new threats and mysteries. The knights are investigating reports of a witch, and demons are on the move. Shatia, sensing a familiar yet corrupted magic, believes one of her fellow witches might be alive and in danger. Her search is interrupted by Mofy, who has followed her. Shatia then encounters Emerald, who, consumed by hatred, has become a monstrous figure and intends to destroy humans, knights, and demons alike. Shatia, heartbroken by Emerald's corruption, is forced to confront her former friend.
