Linfa (Rinfa), the daughter of an ambitious Right Prime Minister, is pressured into either becoming a ceremonial consort and entering the imperial harem, or marrying the son of a rival family. She reluctantly participates in the "Empress Selection Ceremony."

There, she meets the Regent, Sōren, who, impressed by her childcare skills and talent with the erhu, orders her to become a palace lady-in-waiting.

Her duty is to be a caretaker for the young emperor.

"Now I won't have to marry anyone! I'll work with all my might!!"

Having escaped her father's control, Linfa begins to work with vigor and enthusiasm.

This is a romantic comedy about Linfa's fulfilling life in the imperial harem and Sōren, who is inept outside of work, as they slowly grow closer.
