Eto, the Sage belonging to the Hero's party, found that the value of his only strong suit, support magic, went unrecognized, and he was subjected to discriminatory treatment.
Despite this, Eto continued to strive to be useful. However, after being misunderstood and distanced by his childhood friend, the Sword Saint, he began to feel it was time to leave this place.
Later, when he was blamed by the Heroes for a mistake during battle and told to leave the party, Eto finally decided to part ways with them.
Eto then fully embarked on his activities as an adventurer, freely using the support magic that had been forbidden to him as useless, and began the adventure he truly desired.
While the content is true to its title, I chose the "exiled" theme because I believed that once the protagonist leaves the Hero's party, I would be free to depict the subsequent developments. Therefore, this story does not directly pursue revenge or "comeuppance" (ざまぁ). The main focus of the story is an adventure saga featuring the protagonists, complete with battle scenes.
The protagonist, Eto, having received a sage's oracle, is the type who acts after careful consideration. He has little interest in revenge, yet he doesn't have the luxury of completely ignoring his former party members. Thus, he sometimes clashes with the members of the Hero's party, and at other times is forced to cooperate with them. Although he constantly gets caught up in trouble, he strives to improve the situation through trial and error.
I believe this story may not suit those expecting strong revenge or "comeuppance." Instead, I hope it will appeal to readers who are looking for "a lengthy adventure story to dive into."
※A Request Regarding the Comments Section
The comment section on this site is permitted to be managed by the author, differing in nature from reviews found on major online forums or online bookstores. Although I can delete comments at any time, allowing slander, defamation, or complaints against the author or work to remain causes me nothing but stress. Therefore, I will delete any egregious comments as they appear.
Due to a minor "flaming" incident in the comment section in the past, some might feel that my reactions are overly sensitive. However, as long as no clear rules exist, the author must draw that line. I ask for your understanding.
