Next door to Fujimiya Amane's apartment lives an adorable "angel," the most popular student in school.

Shiina Mahiru, an excellent student whose beauty earned her the moniker "Angel," and Amane, an ordinary student who went unnoticed. Despite being next-door neighbors, Amane was convinced their paths would never cross, not now, nor ever.

Until he encountered the angel, soaked to the bone in the rain.

"I'll repay the favor. By the way, you should really clean your room. It was in a terrible state."

"That's none of your business."

Thus began his relationship with the somewhat sharp-tongued "angel," sparked by him offering her an umbrella.

He found himself being nursed back to health when he caught a cold, scolded for his unhealthy habits and having meals cooked for him, engaging in joint tasks (like cleaning his room), and even going out together.

Mahiru, initially aloof, gradually comes to rely on him, while Amane, at first a lazy and trouble-averse individual, eventually finds himself taking her under his wing.

This is the story of two individuals, not quite honest with their feelings, slowly drawing closer.
