My name is Hiura Seiya, and I live my life aiming to be a background character.

How much of a mob, you ask? Well, I do work hard on my grades because they affect my future, but in the mornings, I finish coming to school at a time no one notices, blend into the background, and read books!

I have only one friend I talk to in class! To be frank, the person I talk to isn't one of the class heartthrobs or anything; he's just an ordinary person you'd see in a daily snapshot.

...And so, I lead such an ordinary life, but... I have a secret: I work as a model.

On my way home from that job, I saved Ebashi Reika, the most beautiful girl in our class—no, in our entire grade—from being picked up, and ever since then, my mob life has been on the verge of collapsing!

"What are you reading?" "May I walk home with you?"

No way, did she find out?! At school, my face is hidden by my bangs, and there shouldn't be any elements that would give me away, right?! Why?! If things continue like this, I'll class change from a mob character to an annoying guy who gets talked to by a beautiful girl!

"No, you're mistaken. You have the wrong person."

This is a story about a rather oblivious, mistaken boy who ceaselessly tries to evade the beautiful girl's pursuit... or so he thinks.
