Description
Due to population growth, consumption surpassed production, and humanity, already facing increasingly prominent global issues of "famine," "water scarcity," "energy depletion," and "unsanitary conditions," encountered a new problem.
Creatures that had never before existed in the ecosystem suddenly emerged. People called them "Neospecies," and they attacked and consumed humanity, feared as humanity's natural enemy.
The Neospecies continued to multiply at a rate exceeding the extermination capacity utilizing advanced science and technology, scattering waste and rotting flesh everywhere, polluting the soil. The combined impact of the Neospecies and the unresolved environmental problems dealt a devastating blow to humanity.
Ironically, the population, which had continued to grow to the brink of driving Earth to destruction, sharply declined. Civilized societies in various regions that had continued to develop collapsed, various technologies declined without being passed down, and the glory of humanity began to wane.
The Neospecies, which had only consumed humans, finished their role of culling humanity and seemed as if their numbers would decrease. However, they underwent a new evolution and, in place of the declining humanity, began to show signs of prosperity on Earth.
Years passed to the extent that human civilization began to head towards its end. Aram Scathris, a freelance biologist and "New Hunter" living a self-sufficient life in a forest region at the foot of a northern mountain range, has a fateful encounter during a hunt.
He does not yet know that this encounter will profoundly change his life and the survival of humanity.
