Upon waking, I had reincarnated as Grace, the man-obsessed and greedy villainess character from a novel.

Grace's role is to toy with the protagonist, Zein, then cruelly discard him, thus setting the stage for his encounter and falling in love with the heroine. She is a character even less significant than a mere stepping stone.

If the two don't fall in love and the heroine's saintly powers don't awaken, a war with the neighboring country will break out, and Grace will die.

Wishing to avoid that at all costs, Grace decides to fulfill her role as a plot device.

However, despite her attempts to play the role of the man-obsessed and greedy villainess, Grace, with a modest disposition and no experience with men, finds her efforts consistently backfiring, only increasing the goodwill of those around her.

What's more, Zein, who somehow became her lover, is far from cold-hearted; he's incredibly sweet, leaving Grace bewildered.

Even if she tries to break up with him, steeling her heart, he chases after her, and even ignores the heroine when they meet.

This is a romantic comedy about Grace, who can't quite become a greedy villainess, and the high-spec duke who is cold-hearted (to everyone but Grace), as he relentlessly pursues her.
