Falsely accused, Saint Evelyne was banished to the uninhabitable "Forest of Impurity," where she was living a life of solo survival. However, Serge, a young court magician whom she believed despised her, inexplicably visits her almost every day.

This is the story of Evelyne, apprehensive of this seemingly changed man, and Serge, the earnest and clumsy young man.

This work was written based on a prompt from "Shindan Maker: One Line and One Character for a Happy Ending" (https://shindanmaker.com/941705), which was: "Please create a story with a happy ending, inspired by the line 'Does it hurt?' and the image derived from the kanji for 'forest'."
