Lady Altostella of the House of Duke Rufus was suddenly and inexplicably informed by her fiancé, the prince, that their engagement was broken off.

"Is this some kind of harassment? What on earth is going on?" she wondered, bewildered, as she was banished to a remote region and forced to live under house arrest.

However, she found herself enjoying this life of freedom, unburdened by obligations, and was living quite leisurely. It was during this time that she overheard a certain rumor.

This is my personal attempt at a broken engagement story, a theme I've always wanted to write.

While the pacing is slow, romantic elements will eventually emerge (probably). Expect characters such as a good-for-nothing, unhinged, slightly unsettling stalker prince, and a dark-hearted, beautiful younger brother who uses overly formal yet cloying language... (None of them are decent, by the way.)
