The story begins with Shikibu Seren, a Japanese middle school girl living a self-sufficient life in the mountains, who dies after being struck by lightning. To her surprise, she retains her consciousness and memories, soon realizing she has been reincarnated as a baby in a fantasy world, a trope she avidly read about in her past life.
Five years later, Seren is a beautiful child with platinum blonde hair and purple eyes, living with her loving mother, Calme. Calme was once the concubine of Baron Arise, but was discarded after becoming pregnant with Seren. Despite the hardship, Calme chose to raise Seren, showering her with unconditional love. Seren, in turn, deeply loves Calme and vows to make her happy and ease her burdens.
At age five, children in this world undergo a skill appraisal ceremony at the church. She firmly decides to keep it a secret. Her daily routine becomes pulling the "Daily Gacha" before bed, exhausting her MP, and then using "Appraisal Eye" in the morning.
Over the next six months, Seren diligently uses "Daily Gacha," mostly receiving low-rank items like copper coins, but also acquiring "Life Magic" (B-rank), "Fan Arts" (B-rank), "Sewing" (C-rank), and "Cooking" (C-rank). "Life Magic" proves incredibly useful, allowing her to generate water, fire, wind, and soil. She also discovers that recovering from MP exhaustion increases her maximum MP by one each day. To manage her rapidly growing MP, Seren begins working at an inn, filling bathtubs with water using "Life Magic" for a steady income. She also provides free, clean drinking water to her neighbors, preventing illness and earning her the affectionate title "Water Angel." Calme's pride and love for Seren deeply motivate her.
Seren, now more integrated into her new world, sets clear goals: learn the world's common sense, help Calme with housework, train herself to protect her mother (increasing stats and hoping for combat skills from gacha), and investigate schooling without burdening Calme financially. Her ultimate motivation remains her beloved mother, Calme, for whom she is determined to build a happy life. Seren begins by seeking knowledge from her friendly neighbors, confident in her improved communication skills.
