The story begins with Asurika, a talented mage and member of the top adventurer party in the capital, celebrating a successful adventure with her boyfriend Kaito, a swordsman, and Sophia, a healer. Asurika, driven by ambition and a desire for a brighter future, harbors resentment towards Mizer, the party's seemingly useless support member. She views him as a burden and an embarrassment to their growing reputation. During their celebration, Asurika cruelly trips Mizer, relishing his humiliation.
Later, Asurika informs Mizer that he is being expelled from the party. Despite Mizer's quiet pleas and reminders of his contributions, Kaito and Asurika dismiss him, even demanding he leave behind a valuable magic item. Mizer departs, leaving Asurika feeling triumphant and the party's bonds seemingly strengthened. However, this moment of perceived victory is shattered when Asurika is suddenly struck by an intense headache and a chilling premonition of death. Her memories are violently overwritten, and she realizes she is transforming into someone else, becoming a "he" and losing her former self.
She awakens in a room, disoriented, and discovers she has been transmigrated into the body of Asurika, a character from a light novel she had recently read. This Asurika was a mage whose party, after expelling the protagonist Mizer, fell into ruin and ultimately met a tragic end.
