Destiny is probability, and probability is a miracle—

Jun Momose is a university student, a young man with a relatively fortunate background, save for the fact that he has never fallen in love.

One such day, while taking a detour home on a whim, Jun falls in love at first sight with Rei Ochigibe, an employee at the old cafe 'Raindance'.

Swept away by this new emotion, Jun, on impulse, starts working part-time at Raindance. However, the cafe is in dire financial straits, and its only patrons are an eccentric bunch, each with a quirk or two.

Yet, as he finds himself at their mercy, Jun gradually discovers a world he was never meant to encounter in his own life. A world where his own life, which he had always taken for granted, holds no sway whatsoever.

And as he learns about this world, he simultaneously begins to unravel Rei's past.

Every choice he makes—every word he speaks, every action he takes—gradually accumulates.
