The protagonist, a duke's daughter, and her fiancé, the First Prince of this kingdom, have their relationship shattered by her younger sister, who covets everything.

Not content with that, the younger sister plots to publicly ridicule her older sister, whose engagement was broken, at a royal dinner party. However, she was oblivious to the true reason why everyone around her had indulged her until then.

The truth, however, was that the protagonist, who had seemingly been oppressed until then, was in fact adored by everyone. At the dinner party, upon discovering this truth and seeing her situation dramatically reversed, the protagonist finally severs ties with her sister, who is as hideous in character as she is in appearance.
