Approximately 50 years have passed since the disaster known as "The Day of Origins." The world is now overflowing with beings called Magical Girls, and hunting monsters has become the norm.

Living as an ordinary working adult in this world, Haruna Shiro happened upon a park where he became embroiled in a battle between Magical Girls, sustaining life-threatening injuries.

As his consciousness faded, a voice spoke to him from nowhere.

"Don't you hate Magical Girls?"

That day, he became a "Magical Girl."
