The head of state of a certain European nation, facing imminent defeat, employed a desperate gambit: a demon summoning ritual that sacrificed not only enemy combatants but also his own people.

The demon summoning ritual, performed amidst widespread astonishment, succeeded against all expectations.

The summoned demon wielded preternatural power and annihilated the enemy forces.

The demon, expected to return to its realm after fulfilling its contract, instead sacrificed the very soldiers it had slain to summon other demons.

Summoned by the first demon, these new entities held no allegiance to the head of state who had initiated the original ritual. They massacred all involved, including the original summoner. This act severed all ties, freeing the demons from any contract.

From that moment on, the war between humanity and demons began.
