This work received mixed reviews, but due to many requests for an epilogue, I have now posted it. The main story has not been revised, so I recommend that those who have already read it read only the epilogue.

She realized her fiancé, whose engagement was solely for political reasons, had no eyes for her. She also understood he had disliked her since they first met. Nevertheless, as it was a royal decree, she still dreamt of being able to marry him.

Even knowing he disliked her, she loved him.

He wouldn't meet her gaze, wouldn't offer a single nod of acknowledgment, and she had never received even one gift from him. Still, she loved him.

But then. At her debutante ball, she realized she would never be loved by him.

She decided to give up on this love.

Just as she made this decision, an inquiry came from His Majesty the King, and her petition was granted.
