In 2032, an accident at a particle accelerator causes the soul of Ashihara Soryu to time-slip to Japan in 1901, where he is reborn as Takashiro Soryu.

He is then informed by the angel Liliel that, should events unfold as they are, demons will triumph in Armageddon and civilization will decline.
