Imperial Capital Marchen Detective Record: Bremen, the Haunted Mansion

Description

The story we are about to tell is one of the cases we solved—.

In the early Showa era, the Imperial Capital flourished with a new culture born from the fusion of tradition and modernity.

Chisaki Rihito, a handsome young man born to a noble father and a German mother, visits the Otogi Salon seeking employment, where he encounters a mysterious boy. The boy, Ono Kahoru, in exchange for fulfilling Rihito's wishes—providing him with a job and lodging—offers him a "name-guessing" wager reminiscent of a Grimm fairy tale, and a job at a café…

Then one day, Rihito and Kahoru hear rumors from a café patron about the 'Music Troupe,' a theft ring active in the late Meiji era, and a new robbery gang employing similar methods.

That evening, Rihito and Kahoru, who have befriended Uzaki Zentaro, a young painter from the Otogi Salon, Yoshinaga Yuya, a young musician, and Nagao Neneko, a beautiful vocalist, hear a tale of a 'haunted mansion' during a ghost story session and decide to go on a test of courage.

There, a real ghost appears, and the group panics and flees back home.

Meanwhile, Kahoru receives a phone call from Mrs. Otogi with a new request…

The original story concept, specially written for the stage production of 'Teito Märchen Detective Files'!

Additionally, the afterword contains details about the stage production and my impressions of it.

Whether you have seen the stage production or not, I hope you will enjoy reading it.
