Description
"Let me be clear. We don't need a ranger who just carries luggage and contributes nothing to combat. In fact, you're a burden, so please leave. And leave your equipment and money, of course!" One day, Riel, a ranger who had been with his companions since the party's formation, was given a unanimous dismissal notice by them.
When he became an adventurer, Riel's first skill was 'Play Dead,' the worst, most useless garbage skill imaginable.
Riel himself was well aware that he was being left behind by everyone's strength, so he worked hard not to lose pace, acquiring countless non-combat skills such as lock-picking, trap detection, monster knowledge, and equipment repair and maintenance, all to support his companions.
Despite this, he received a merciless declaration deep within the dungeon, where being cast out meant no return, only death.
At that moment, the Hero became enraged. "What selfish people you are! If that's the case, I'll go with Riel! This is where I part ways with you all!"
"Huh? What are you saying?! What will happen to this party without you?! Couldn't we just find stronger, more capable companions than him later on?! Wait! Fine! We'll put Riel's expulsion on hold!"
"It's too late now! I can no longer stay with people who can't cherish their companions!"
And so, Riel headed out of the labyrinth with Hero Lunas.
As expected of the Hero. Riel, who had sworn to follow him for life, heard the Hero begin to speak. "There's a reason it has to be you." Now to be revealed: the reason it *must* be Riel, the secret the Hero carries, and the true power of the garbage skill 'Play Dead'...
Hero Lunas declared that with Riel by his side, they could go anywhere, and Riel, with a fresh start, embarked on a new adventure.
This is the story of the unsung hero who supported the Hero, and who will one day bring peace to the world.
※Book adaptation confirmed.
The old title was "When I Was Declared Expelled by My Companions in the Hero's Party I Was Serving, the Hero Got Furious and Followed Me. My Former Companions Begged the Hero to Come Back, But He Replied 'It's Too Late Now!' with No Room for Negotiation."
