On the first day of his second year of high school, Yusuke Arima saved a girl who fell down the stairs.

However, Arima took advantage of the girl he saved being unconscious and the presence of a good-looking friend, and lied, claiming his friend was the one who helped her.

Arima had been bullied in the past for his physique and appearance. An earlier incident, where a girl he had saved ended up crying, led him to believe it would be better if his friend, not he, received the credit.

But another girl who was there, Michika Atami, says:

"Tell the truth."

She persistently pressed Arima to properly accept the thanks.

Michika Atami, herself, has been harboring feelings for someone for seven years.

An unrequited love for someone who had saved her life in the past, but whom she was never able to thank—not knowing their name, nor remembering their face or voice.
