She laments the decline of the game's popularity, noting the scarcity of players and the prevalence of new or under-equipped individuals. Sakura, an "Undead" (a race known for its skeletal appearance and affinity for magic but with significant drawbacks like vulnerability to fire and holy magic, and negative reactions to potions), reflects on her own dedication to the game, having overcome many of her race's disadvantages through extensive effort and in-game purchases. She possesses exceptional stats and a vast array of skills, particularly defensive ones, making her a formidable player despite her race's unpopularity.
The narrative takes a sudden turn when Sakura attempts to log out. Instead of returning to reality, she finds herself in a dense forest, unable to move or control her body. She experiences cold, a sensation not present in EWO, leading her to realize she is naked and in the real world. This leads to the shocking conclusion that she has been reincarnated as a baby. Her attempts to speak result in infant cries, further confirming her new state.
A wolf-like monster appears, and Sakura, despite her helplessness, recognizes it from EWO. As the monster attacks, she notices a silver collar with a plate bearing strange symbols, suggesting this is not EWO but another world, possibly a real one. Just as she resigns herself to her fate, the monster is defeated. She discovers her EWO stats and abilities seem to have carried over, as she is unharmed and can use magic. She successfully casts a powerful "Disappearance: Wood" spell, clearing a large area of trees, and confirms her item box is accessible.
A beautiful, enigmatic young man named Avil appears. He reveals the monster was his pet, "Pochi," and that he was amused by Sakura's ability to withstand its attack. Despite her infant form, Avil is intrigued by her strength and decides to take her with him, naming her "Taro." Sakura, unable to communicate verbally, uses telepathy to protest the name and her gender, but Avil, a powerful being with dark wings and red eyes, is amused. He reveals he is the Demon King and that his world operates on strength, where the weak are discarded. He insists Sakura will live with him, and after a brief demonstration of her power against his subordinate, Livia, who initially disdains Sakura, Avil allows her to stay.
Sakura, now named "Sakura Mochi" (Sakura for short), begins her life in Avil's castle. She discovers she can speak normally after a few days and is given her own room. Her primary focus becomes gathering information about this new world, spending most of her time in Avil's vast library. She learns the world is similar to EWO in many aspects, including currency and magic systems, but with significant differences in power levels and the harshness of reality. She also learns that other EWO players may have been reincarnated here.
Meanwhile, in the human world, a young man named Yuta, who idolized heroes and was a skilled EWO player, finds himself reincarnated as a hero in this new world. He quickly gains notoriety, reaching A-rank adventurer status within a month. He encounters Chrono (Kuroya Masahiro), another EWO player who was reincarnated and prefers to work solo. Yuta, mistaking Chrono for an agent of the Demon King, attempts to attack him, but they are interrupted by Mari, an adventurer who invites them both to join her party. Chrono accepts, while Yuta, still convinced of Chrono's villainy, is also joined by his harem of followers. Mari, however, has her own hidden agenda, whispering to Chrono that his cooperation was appreciated.
Back at the Demon King's castle, Sakura, now physically resembling a young girl, decides to become an adventurer to explore the world and gather information. Avil, possessive and wary of her leaving, agrees but assigns a powerful subordinate, Luxia, to accompany and watch over her. Sakura, aware of the dangers and the harsh reality of this world, prepares for her journey, while Avil, the Demon King, harbors his own mysterious intentions. The narrative concludes with Sakura setting out on her adventure, accompanied by Luxia, with the looming threat of other players and the Demon King's watchful eye.
