The protagonist, a young man whose family died in a fire when he was seven, finds himself trapped in a burning room, facing a similar fate. He laments his life, unfulfilled and cut short, recalling the abuse he suffered after being taken in by a distant relative who only sought insurance money. Just as he resigns himself to death, he receives system notifications: he has acquired the titles "Visitor from Another World" and the skills "Language Comprehension" and the unique skill "Smoke Master."
He awakens in a stark white room, disoriented and unable to move or see. A system prompt allows him to spend SP (Skill Points) to create "eyes," which he does, regaining sight. He finds himself in a strange, empty room, his body feeling alien. A status screen appears, revealing him to be a "Monster Core" with basic stats, the acquired skills, and the "Visitor from Another World" title. A strange, insect-like spherical creature approaches, and he instinctively knows he's in danger.
Using SP, he creates legs, allowing him to move and narrowly escape the first creature. Another, beetle-like spherical creature enters and brutally destroys the first. The protagonist, realizing he's in a dangerous environment, must fight. He attempts to create a club but lacks the SP. After being hit and severely damaged, he creates an arm and hand, using a discarded leg of the destroyed creature as a weapon. He manages to defeat the beetle-like creature after a fierce battle, leveling up and gaining new skills.
He continues through a maze-like white corridor, encountering and defeating more spherical creatures, including a three-wheeled one that attacks with a crossbow. He learns that defeating enemies grants SP and levels him up. He discovers the "Smoke Master" skill allows him to manipulate smoke, providing mobility and sensory capabilities. He uses this skill to defeat numerous enemies, increasing his SP and levels. He then creates a left arm, left hand, and ears, improving his senses and balance. He also creates a mouth and practices speaking.
With his remaining SP, he enhances his body to be more balanced and agile, resembling a cartoonish, one-headed character with elastic limbs and large feet. He equips himself with a hammer and shield. He continues exploring, encountering stronger enemies. He gains the "Defense Lv2" skill and levels up significantly. He discovers treasure chests containing magic stones that restore HP, MP, and Stamina, and one that allows him to learn new skills. He chooses to learn "Wind Attribute Magic Operation Lv1," gaining the spell "Cutting Wind."
He then encounters a bee-like flying creature and uses "Cutting Wind" to defeat it in one blow, realizing the power of magic. He also learns "Flight" magic after creating bat-like wings. He finds more treasure chests, acquiring various magic stones and learning "Lightning Attribute Magic Operation Lv1," which grants him "Lightning Arrow" and "Swift Lightning." He then faces a giant, spiky spherical creature, which he defeats using his smoke abilities and hammer, gaining "Poison Resistance Lv1" and "Poison Resistance Lv2."
He faces a centipede-like creature made of connected spheres, which sprays corrosive acid. He defeats it, but not before his shield melts and his body is partially dissolved, forcing him to use an HP recovery stone and gain "Poison Resistance Lv2." He then encounters a wolf-like monster and uses his smoke abilities to trap and defeat it, gaining "Fear Resistance Lv1" and "Paralysis Resistance Lv1."
He faces a balloon-like spherical creature with orbiting cubes that act as defenses. He uses "Lightning Arrow" and "Swift Lightning" to defeat it, gaining "Concentration Lv2." He then faces a choice to evolve, selecting "Dragonkin Race." This process consumes SP and grants him new dragon-related skills and magic, including "Dragon Breath" and "Human Transformation." He is transferred to a new location, "Despair Forest," as a miniature dragon-human hybrid named Ryuto. He retains some of his previous skills and magic but gains new dragon abilities. He immediately faces a swarm of giant ants, which he decimates with "Dragon Breath," leveling up and gaining "Area Attack Lv1." He then encounters a large, horned wolf, which he defeats using a combination of his smoke abilities and hammer, gaining more levels and skills. He continues to explore, finding treasure chests with more magic stones and learning new skills and spells, including "Dark Attribute Magic Operation Lv1" and "Stealth Lv2." He also learns "Dragon Magic Lv1" and "Dragon Transformation" and "Human Transformation" spells. He faces a powerful flying creature with defensive cubes, which he defeats using his combined abilities. He is then presented with the option to evolve, choosing "Dragonkin Race," which transforms him into a young dragon-human hybrid with new abilities and a new name, Ryuto. He finds himself in a forest, determined to live a happy life.
