In a fantasy world where a girl blessed with the Hero's Divine Protection fights the Demon Lord, Red, who possesses the Divine Protection of the 'Guide' which grants only a high initial level, has been fighting as an initial party member for his sister, the Hero.

However, with a Divine Protection that only granted a high level but no magic, combat skills, or superpowers, he gradually found himself unable to keep up with battles. Eventually, one of his party members, the Sage, declared, "You're not a true companion," stripped him of all his equipment, and banished him from the party with just a copper sword.

His spirit completely broken, Red, caring nothing for the fate of the world, resolved to live a quiet, enjoyable life alone in Zoltan, a remote frontier far from the fight against the Demon Lord's army. He decided to save money to open a medicinal herb shop, making use of the knowledge he gained during his travels.

Along with a half-elf carpenter living in the downtown area and a princess who didn't join the Hero's party, he aims for a slow life on the frontier in a world where innate Divine Protections rule!
