The story follows Berlina Lacotte, an 18-year-old reincarnator with the special skill "Absolute Evasion," who is deeply infatuated with the Hero, Kreis Ray Glacius. For three years, Berlina has been pursuing Kreis, aiming to become his wife. Her pursuit has led her to join Kreis's party, despite his apparent discomfort with overly forward women.
The chapters detail Berlina's persistent, albeit sometimes clumsy, attempts to get closer to Kreis. During a boss battle against a Neck Hanging Tree, the party becomes separated, leaving Berlina and Kreis alone. Berlina, using her "Absolute Evasion" and various rare items, including a powerful fire spirit stone, aids Kreis in defeating the boss. Her actions, particularly the unexpected meteor shower that finishes off the monsters, lead Kreis to question her true nature, especially after her status card reveals her level 15 and "Absolute Evasion" skill.
Following the battle, Kreis approaches Berlina, expressing gratitude for her help and offering to repay her. Berlina, however, states that the kiss she received from him was payment enough, revealing her romantic feelings.
