I, Aruto, am an adventurer. The skill I awakened is Appraisal – a power that lets me discern the value and effects of anything I observe. While it's ill-suited for combat, there's a reason I continue to live as an adventurer.

To my astonishment, it turns out that as my Appraisal skill's rank improves, it can even be used on people. Hearing this, an idea sparked within me: couldn't I use Appraisal to uncover the secrets of that adorable girl I admire?

To uncover the secrets of the woman I idolize... isn't that both delightfully immoral and incredibly sweet? Seriously, doesn't that just send your excitement through the roof? It does, right?!

And so, I've been diligently pursuing an efficient adventurer's path, all to raise the rank of my Appraisal skill.

Today, with my Appraisal skill's rank finally improved, I cast it upon Satie, the receptionist at the Adventurer's Guild whom I admire – watching her large chest bounce as she worked – and uncovered a truly shocking truth.

"Her true identity is the Demon Lord, AND she's using slimes as breast pads?! What the heck is going onnnn!!!"

It was only after screaming internally that the realization hit me. Wouldn't it be terrible if she found out I knew her true identity? She's the Demon Lord, after all! I'll definitely be killed... And seriously, why is the Demon Lord even working here?!

And so, while desperately trying to keep my knowledge of her secret hidden, I decided to delve into why she's working as an Adventurer's Guild receptionist.
