Rin Yamaoki is a sixteen-year-old first-year high school student.

In a world where grotesque monsters have begun to appear, she participates in monster subjugation as a survivor wielding supernatural abilities.

Rin's skill is called 'Faker'. It's a rare skill that allows her to mimic and use other survivors' abilities, but it had a fatal flaw: skills mimicked by 'Faker' would significantly degrade compared to their original power. Even after a year as a survivor, Rin remained stuck at Level 1, the absolute bottom, and was called incompetent and ridiculed at school.

Then one day, during a battle with goblins, Rin awakens to the true power of this "worthless skill," 'Faker.'

This is the story of Rin, the lowest-ranked survivor, awakening to her true abilities and, with that as a catalyst, growing stronger as she defeats monsters alongside a cute partner.
