I'm quitting being a noble and becoming a commoner

As the illegitimate child of a count and his late commoner mother, I lived a life feeling out of place. Upon turning sixteen and coming of age, I decided to remove myself from the noble registry and become a common citizen. Will the knowledge I acquired as a member of the nobility prove useful in my life as a commoner? Or can I make a living using the wisdom and skills passed down from my commoner mother?
