Though an occult-obsessed friend had forced him to read it in his previous life, he could only make it through three of the thirty-one volumes because it was too terrifying. As such, his knowledge of the original story is severely limited.

Ghastly supernatural phenomena infest modern society. Death flags abound in every corner of daily life. In such a cruel world for mere background characters, Daiki panics, realizing that his partial knowledge of the original story alone will surely put his life in peril.

Fortunately, however, living next door was Shiragane Luca (Shirogane Ruka), the silver-haired, red-eyed psychic beauty who also happens to be the protagonist and main heroine of the original story.

Daiki tries to grow close to Luca to be protected from the supernatural horrors, but... Luca, who had always been ostracized due to her unique appearance and abilities, rapidly develops an intense fondness for Daiki.
