One day, a card bearing that message was placed on Fine's desk.

A secret, she wondered.

Something you don't want others to know. Something that would harm you if revealed. Something embarrassing.

"My own secret... something I wouldn't want revealed..."

Having no idea what it could be, Fine reflected on herself, searching for a secret she didn't believe she possessed.

Since she had absolutely no recollection from her own subjective viewpoint, she decided to objectively unravel "herself," incorporating stories she'd heard from her wet nurse and others.
